Constant momentum is truly the best way to describe the year for this Chicago event planning team. Even now, production meetings and supply checklists have been swapped out with evaluations and SWOT analysis as we pave the way for an exciting 2017. #CantstopWontstop
We’ve covered a number of topics in our #NLEDonthescene blog thread chronicling 2016’s momentum: we started off 2016 setting some growth intentions, and the results of those intentions have been tremendous. We saw new business, added staff, Cathy completed the Goldman Sachs 10,000 Small Businesses program, and we celebrated how far NLED has come in 7 years.
Reflecting back on all of these accomplishments, we would not have gotten there without the talent and adaptability of the NLED team. You know, it truly takes a strong team of individuals with varied backgrounds, who are dreamers and doers, have a passion for creating one of a kind experiences, have a pulse on industry trends (no, not just linen selection, but also topics like security and venue saturation), and the ability to stay scrappy and agile, while keeping professionalism on point. We’ve done a pretty great job at building this kind of team, allowing for our strengths to shine across our many versatile projects. Pride for the NLED team is running high.
Just look at these samples of what we accomplished: our NLED team decked out for a themed party; working with the Executive Office of President Obama; welcoming new business to Chicago with a grand building dedication; inviting the Chicago Multi-Cultural Dance Center to perform at an event; and ensuring nature conservationists around the Midwest have a successful conference.
As we reach the end of a remarkable year, we feel immense gratitude: for one another, our team, and most importantly, our clients and event partners, and the support of people like you. Keep cozy, and raise those cups of hot cocoa high.
Warm Holiday Wishes from the NLED team.
